Introduction
The Singer family took over the management of the Fülemüle Restaurant in the year of 2000. The lifetime experience in the business of András Singer, the head of the family and his wife, Mari Singer comes handy for the management of the restaurant. They have renovated the whole interior of the restaurant. The walls are now covered with pictures, which they got from their family, guests, and friends. They threw out the checkered table clothes, and bought a whole new set of dinner service, but you can still see the family’s relics in both rooms of the restaurant.
Viktor and Balázs, the family’s two younger members are part of the restaurant management too. One of them is in charge for the comfort of the guests, the other one takes care of the restaurant's online presence. In the meantime Balázs got married to Zsu, and their daughter Viki has become the face of the restaurant.
The Fülemüle Restaurant has got a lot of attention and prizes over the past couple of years. They get quite good reviews in the Hungarian and the foreign press as well.
The restaurants two rooms together accommodates up to 55 guests for seated events. The hall has a 40 person capacity, while the smaller room has a 15 person capacity.
The restaurant's kitchen serves mostly middle-European Jewish and Hungarian traditional cuisine. Most of the foods are made from goose, but we have special cholents as well. We offer roasted goose thigh, breast with ragout of forests’ treasures, and many kind of liver specialities. The Fülemüle’s strengths are the house-made smoked meats, the argentine angus steak, and the cholent with chili. The King David’s cholent with roasted goose thigh, smoked meats, and stuffed goose neck is a real challenge for even trenchermen. Our desserts are also made by traditional home-made recipes. We are proud of our famous walnut-crusted matzah balls with chocolate coating, and our noodles with apple, walnut, and poppyseed.
Our restaurant is the perfect place for small weddings, business events or even cozy family dinners. Catering or take-out is also available upon request with advance notice, please contact the staff for further assistance.
